Overview

The village and its ski area

Corvara is a village in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen, Italy, and it skis as part of the wider Alta Badia area. That area has 110.2 km of mapped classified downhill runs served by 59 lifts. The mapped ski area runs from 1341 m at its lowest point to 2526 m at its highest. These are ski-area figures for Alta Badia as a whole, not the altitude of the village itself.

For families, the run mix is the main attraction. Beginner terrain makes up 65.61% of the mapped classified downhill runs, so there is plenty of gentle skiing for children finding their feet and for parents who want relaxed cruising rather than steep descents.

Accommodation sits in the premium planning tier. For a family of four (two adults and children aged 6 and 10) staying seven nights from 13 February 2027, the median came to about EUR 126.39 per person per night. That figure comes from six offers: four 3 to 4-star hotel rooms with board included, and two apartments. The two apartments alone averaged EUR 88.50 per person per night, which would be budget territory. Local tax is extra, and this is a planning guide rather than a quote. For lift passes, an adult one-day Dolomiti Superski pass is EUR 89 in the 2026/27 high season, which includes the February half-term weeks.

Family fit

How it suits a family

Several family services are available, but many are tied to particular hotels, so check the conditions before you book. The Movi Family hotel runs supervised activities for ages 3 to 12, normally daily from 09:00 to 22:00. This is for hotel guests only. Meals are not supervised and programme times may change. The same hotel has a baby room for under-threes, with a babysitter from 14:00 to 20:00. Care from 09:00 to 14:00 is on request for a fee. It is also for hotel guests only, so confirm your child's exact age and whether places are available. No minimum infant age was established.

Corvara ski school lists English among its lesson languages. Reserve the language explicitly when you book, because not every instructor or group is English-speaking. If you want to avoid the morning transfer, Hotel La Perla confirms ski-in/ski-out beside the Col Alto slope and gondola. That shows an accommodation option exists, not that every property has doorstep access.

On lift passes, Dolomiti Superski 2026/27 offers a free pass for a child born between 2019 and 2023 when a full-price adult or senior pass is bought at the same time. The child's pass must be the same type and length, with one free child pass per full-paying adult. Without a full-price adult pass, these children get 50% off. Children born in 2019 turn 7 at the start of the season, so treat this as roughly under 8, and confirm the conditions when you buy. For non-skiing days, the official tourism office lists the Corvara ice stadium and the Corvara to La Villa winter walk. Check current access and conditions.

For school holidays, Corvara suits planning a Christmas trip, though you should check opening days, snow and childcare places, as snow is never guaranteed. It also suits February half-term, when advance booking is essential and the age, day and hotel-guest restrictions above still apply. We have not given an unrestricted Easter recommendation, because UK Easter dates vary and late-season village services are not established for the whole possible window. That does not mean Easter skiing is unavailable.

Dolomiti Superski 2026/27: anyone buying a full-price adult or senior day or multi-day pass can get, at the same time, a free pass of the same type and length for a child born between 2019 and 2023, one free child pass per full-paying adult, also online; without a full-price adult pass these children get 50% off. Children born in 2019 are 7 at the start of the 2026/27 season, so this is recorded as under 8 with the paying-adult condition (owner convention 2026-10-23). 8. 8Price tier23 Oct 2026

Premium planning tier from dated accommodation prices (owner decision 2026-10-23): median EUR 126.39 per person per night for a family of four (two adults, children aged 6 and 10), 7 nights from 13 February 2027, 6 offers, median of the middle 4; ratio 1.26 to the EUR 100.27 holiday-week reference (GBP 70, the middle of the matcher's mid accommodation band, times the matcher's 1.2 holiday-week factor, at the ECB rate of 0.8377 GBP per euro on 22 October 2026; below 0.9 is budget, 0.9 to 1.15 mid, 1.15 to 1.5 premium, 1.5 or more luxury). Offers: the Alta Badia tourist board's search for Corvara, 1 to 2-star and 5-star places left out; four of the six are 3 to 4-star hotel rooms with breakfast (one with half board only) and two are apartments. Board is included in the hotel prices, which the matcher counts separately; the two apartments alone average EUR 88.50 per person per night (0.88, budget). Local tax is extra. Lift passes, rental and ski school are priced from the separate day-pass field. This is a planning tier, not a quote.

  9. 9Adult day pass23 Oct 2026

EUR 89 for an adult one-day Dolomiti Superski pass in the 2026/27 high season, from the operator's price release of 30 September 2026; the Seiser Alm page lists the 2026/27 low season as 4 to 19 December, 10 to 30 January and from 21 March, so the February half-term weeks are high season. The valley pass is cheaper, but its full-day price sits in a Dolomiti Superski widget that refuses automated access. Price in euros, no conversion.

Corvara municipal website https://www.comune.corvara.bz.it/ (a .bz.it municipal domain on the Südtiroler Bürgernetz, the South Tyrol municipalities' network; address I-39033 Corvara, a Bolzano/Bozen province postcode) places the village in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen, Italy. Checked 2026-10-24. This village-region correction avoids treating the shared Dolomiti Superski area label Belluno / Bolzano/Bozen as the village's province; the imported terrain remains unchanged.
